R&D Policy

Honshu Chemical's Research Center embraces the pioneering spirit, being fine chemicals specialists and quick start, quick response and quick cost cuts as its basic policy. It engages in research and development for the entire company in order to develop and provide fine chemicals characteristic to Honshu Chemical by taking full advantage of the company's synthesis and high purification technologies.

From the lab research to sample production at a bench scale plant to a trial run at a semi-commercial plant, Honshu Chemical engages in product development in close alignment with customers’ development stages with agility, flexibility and reliability as keywords.

① Pioneering spirit

As typified by the company's achievement of independently constructing Japan's first benzene distillation plant and successfully industrializing the production of aniline, a dye material, in 1914, the pioneering spirit is the basic philosophy of Honshu Chemical's R&D.
