The High Performance Materials Segment consists of the Electronic Chemicals Business and the Specialty Bisphenol Business. The former provides electronic chemicals used in the manufacturing processes for semiconductors and flat panel displays (LCDs/organic EL displays), and the latter provides specialty bisphenols used for optical lenses, high heat resistance plastics and other unique functional resins.
Electronic Chemicals Business (Electronic Chemicals Dept.)
Our Electronic Chemicals Business provides various materials for photoresists used in the manufacturing processes for semiconductors and flat panel displays. To meet the electronics industry's stringent demand for quality, our high-purification technologies, contribute to stable supply of high performance materials essential to semiconductor and flat panel display manufacturing.
Specialty Bisphenol Business (Market Development Dept.)
Specialty bisphenols that we provide mostly are used in specialty polycarbonate resins and specialty epoxy resins and, with their high heat resistance, optical features and other unique functions, help technological innovations in a wide range of industrial areas including smart phone camera lenses, sensors, automotive components and thermal paper materials.
